PPO

Polyphenylene oxide (PPO), also known as polyphenylene oxide B in Chinese, is one of the five general engineering plastics in the world. It has the advantages of high rigidity, high heat resistance, flame resistance, high strength and excellent electrical properties. In addition, PPO has the advantages of wear resistance, non-toxicity and pollution resistance. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of PPO is one of the smallest varieties of engineering plastics, which is almost unaffected by temperature and humidity. It can be used in the fields of low, medium and high frequency electric fields (the smaller the dielectric constant, the better the insulation). The load deformation temperature of PPO can reach above 190℃, and the degeneration temperature is -170℃. (PPO or PPE) is also called polyphenylene oxide, and its chemical name is poly 2,6- dimethyl -1,4- phenyl ether. 2,6- dimethylphenol is a linear polymer which is oxidized and condensed by oxygen under the action of catalyst.

Generally in the form of khaki powder. Polyphenylene ether synthesized from 2,6-dimethylphenol is commonly used, which has excellent comprehensive properties. Its biggest feature is that it has excellent dimensional stability and outstanding electrical insulation under long-term load, and it can be used for a long time in the range of -127~121℃. It has excellent water resistance and steam resistance, and the products have high tensile strength, impact strength and creep resistance. In addition, it has good wear resistance and electrical properties.

We have various types of PPO, please feel free to contact us if necessary.
